Alex Wheeler is an American artist, born and raised in Wisconsin. After receiving a B.A in Business Administration, she decided to focus her energy in a creative way. In May of 2020, she completed her MFA in painting at the Marchutz School of Fine Arts in Aix-en-Provence, France. There, Alex worked in oil, watercolor and charcoal, and experimented in 3-dimensions as well. She was able to find a connection to painting much deeper than that of pure enjoyment. 

Through the study of landscapes, still lives, and people, she intends to further her growth in communicating her vision. She aims to create a language with her brushstrokes that brings forth a luminous quality that she is drawn to in every tree, orange, and face that she paints. Success for Alex has become a constant pursuit of seeking truth, unity and light in every work she creates. Following her intuition allows her to discover what may be hidden within each canvas, mound of clay or sheet of paper. Driven to fulfill this passion and purpose, it is a privilege that she is able to share her love with the world from which it is born.
